Baby Lock is an excellent company to work for! We’ve got proof!
Just about everyone I asked gave us an enthusiastic “Baby Lock! For the love!” when I asked. This is Baby Lock’s mantra, shortened from “Baby Lock, for the love of sewing.”
It’s fun to say and it was fun to film! Enjoy!
Share your Baby Lock memories!

This is a video on how to insert a magnetic snap. I love to add them to purses and bags, because they’re very strong. I have also seen my customers and friends use them as closures on fabric books and journal covers.
Magnetic snaps aren’t always the best choice- so I hope to add some more videos on closures, such as; sew-in snaps, riveted snaps and buttons!
What closures do you use in your projects?
I am so excited about this project! Take a look!
It’s a Post Card!
And so easy to make. Kids be sure to sign up for Kids Clubhouse this Saturday morning at Zede’s Sewing Studio and make this great card to send to a friend or relative.
Isn’t it pretty!
I am so proud of my student, Jennifer. She has spent many hours designing this quilt from various t-shirts that she has acquired whenever she participated in races. Many memories are attached to this project and for many years this quilt will warm her heart as well as her body.
She had the pleasure of using my trusty 1130 Bernina. I am always pleased at the performance my 1130 Bernina gives me whenever I have a major project to undertake.
And as with all my Bernina sewing machines, they all withstand weekly and sometimes daily use and always perform and never disappoint me in the quality stitching of the machines.
Be sure to check back soon for my Pillow Case Party post. It was a blast!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I am so excited about the fall weather. It is so cozy inside and cool outside. This is when we all start thinking about our fall and winter sewing projects. I am always deciding to sew seasonal items at that particular time of year. I really should organize my projects and sew fall projects in the summer, winter projects in the fall, srping projects in the winter, and summer projects in the spring. Well, hmmm maybe eventually I will get that organized with my projects.
As for my students and their projects; monthly lessons start up again at Zede’s Sewing Studio September 18th & 25th. We will be meeting for classes 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. There is plenty of room for 4-8 students as long as you get your child registered through Zede’s Sewing Studio to reserve his or her spot. Remember we meet twice a month for 2-hour sessions. The student advances through whatever sewing level they have aspired to and moves up into their next level of achievement.
Holiday Camp will be hosted in November before Thanksgiving. I have great plans for our Holiday Camp and hope to see eager young students participate in this exciting camp.
In November we will be hosting another Rocci’s Sewing School Fashion Show. So tell your children to be sure to have all their projects in good shape to show off at the fashion show.
Summer Fun Home Making Classes ended with a few whinnies, slithers and snuggles.
The morning began with French Toast for breakfast, Cheeseburgers and chips for lunch, and snow cones for our afternoon snack.
However, we took an exciting detour from normal home making skills to learn a little animal husbandry. The girls all had the opportunity to ride bare back on a beautiful quarter horse named “Costner“. The horse loved the attention and the girls were thrilled. They also got to “pet” a ball python snake. Oooooo scary! Actually the snake is over 20 years old and quite friendly.
Then to end our Home Making day we made pillow cases of beautiful colors. The machines the girls used were Berninas 220 and 210 and Baby Lock Sofias. It never ceases to amaze me how great these sewing machines are for children to learn sewing skills.
Look at the smiles on the girls’ faces. I would say they had a fantastic time atHome Making Sessions with Rocci’s Sewing School.
Be sure to ask about July’s Summer Camp where we will be converting a men’s dress shirt into a fashionable dress or blouse with a sash tie belt and hair band to match.
Camp will be held Wednesday July 28th & Thursday July 29th from 10 am to 1:30 pm at Zede’s Sewing Studio.
Be sure to sign-up as soon as possible. See you all soon!
What a fun time we had making these BIG FEET pillows. Just look at the smiles on the kids’ faces.
Zoe, Annamarie and Nathaniel all took time out of their busy schedules and took on the challenge to make these pillows.
Zoe and Annamarie are in their second year at Rocci’s Sewing School and are definitely improving with their sewing skills. Nathaniel has just begun his adventure. His older sister, Annamarie, has been his inspiration.
Rocci’s Sewing School hosts monthly classes, camps and a monthly clubhouse for kids. Teens and Adults are also welcomed to schedule lessons with Rocci as well. Our next CAMP is planned for July!
Be sure to bookmark this blog so you can come back often to see all the wonderful sewing classes that are held at Zede’s.

Isn’t this pin cushion just adorable. I found this Free Pattern online and decided to try it out. WOW!
You can make them in any size. You can stack them like cake layers and make a fantastic pin cushion cake. Dress them up for special occasions like birthdays or Easter or Christmas. The kids will have a blast making these.
Some of the sewing skills they will learn will be how to gather fabric and how to quilt pieces together with decorative thread designs. This project will feature decorative stitches on the sewing machines that the kids can choose to utilize.
Please be sure to call Zede’s Sewing Studio and get your child registered for KIDS CLUBHOUSE. See you all April 10th 10a-noon at Zede’s Sewing Studio.
